Refurbishment at Harpenden Leisure Centre

Harpenden Leisure Centre has undergone a £10,000 refurbishment to transform and update the gym in a bid to encourage even more people from St Albans to adopt a more active lifestyle. Leisure Connection’s partnership with St Albans City and District Council, is working hard to change the perception of public access leisure provision and as a result has delivered a state of the art gym in Harpenden.

The gym has been split into specifi c zones for different exercises; a personal training zone, CV zone, weights zone, cardio zone with the whole gym being decorated. There will also be considerable ongoing investment into improving the communal areas throughout the centre and updating the existing colour scheme.

Charles Smith, centre manager for Harpenden Leisure Centre said: “The investment is great news for current members and new members alike. The investment will transform the gym and offer a fantastic local centre for the Harpenden community.”
