Exercise Referral Scheme Coordinator
Full time (1 years) - Salary 16 - 18K (allocated based on experience)

The St Albans Arts, Sport & Health Development Team (SAASH) team is a successful arts, sports and health development unit with a proven track record of delivering high quality initiatives.  We currently hold a Quest score that places us as one of the top 10 development teams in the country.  Therefore, the successful applicant will be joining a strong and focused team looking to build on its previous successes.

JOB PURPOSE

To work with Key agencies, partners and professionals to raise awareness of, and identify new opportunities for patients/clients and the Exercise Referral Scheme.  To work in partnership with key partners and professionals to create and sustain the opportunities for referred patients/clients. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To co-ordinate existing Exercise Referral Sessions and develop new sessions as needed with referrals programme.  To provide exercise sessions for referral patients as outlined within the Exercise Referral Framework.  To provide assessments for referral patients as outlined in the Exercise Referral Framework.  To provide feedback to the Health Develoment Officer and Health Professionals.  Promote the ERS throughout a range of Health Professional via a variety of media.

Candidate Requirements

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications in Exercise, Health or fitness and in particular Exercise Referral.  A Cardiac Rehab Phase 4 qualification is desirable but not necessary.  You will be a member or could quickly become a member of REPs or relevant governing body.  You will show good record of Continaul Professional Development training at a suitable level and you will have a good knowledge of the Health and Fitness Industry.

In addition you will have good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

MULTI-SKILLS COACH NEEDED!

Leisure Connection are seeking an enthusiastic, hardworking individual.

Multi-Sports Coach needed for new 10 week programme.

Starting 11th October for 10 weeks every Saturday from 7pm till 8pm at Harpenden Leisure Centre.

The coach will be required to run the weekly sessions organising the team activities including a warm up and cool down.  To vary the activities over the 10 weeks to include activities such as 6-a-side basketball and football, cricket and anything else that the attendees would enjoy.

The successful candidate will have relevant coaching qualifications and be reliable and confident with the age range of the clients.

Hourly Rate of pay - £15 - £25 based on experience.

Job Description: Special Olympics aims to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with learning disabilities. St Albans Special Olympics is seeking to immediately appoint volunteers to coach and help out during all of our sports sessions throughout the week.
