News: MEND Programme Teaches Children What To Eat

MEND (Mind, Exercise, Nutrition, Do It!) is one of the UK's most innovative and effective obesity prevention and treatment programmes.
Lord Butler Leisure Centre has been host to the MEND programme since April of this year and last month the team took the MEND members on a tour of the local Waitrose supermarket in Saffron Walden.
Not usual I know, normally we would take people on a tour of our centres but this was a learning trip to see if the children could identify 'MEND friendly' foods from each isle. The tour was then followed by a healthy food tasting session.

- Local Marlow Grammar School, Sir William Borlase, was delighted to be back at Bisham Abbey National Sports Centre for the schools Annual Sports Dinner. 144 students, teachers and guests dined in the historical Great Hall.
