The move follows the Danoptra Group, Leisure Connection's financial backer securing the support of a banking syndicate, led by Credit Suisse, which aims to develop and further expand Leisure Connection's extensive local leisure portfolio.
Leisure Connection, the industry's leading public access sports and leisure provider has today announced that it is planning to invest over £2.6million in local leisure facilities across the UK. The investment, in public access and community centres includes the installation of new fitness kit, much of which has already started to appear throughout the estate.
Graham Farrant, Chief Executive of Leisure Connection comments: "This marks a clear future direction for Leisure Connection. We have a strong platform from which to continue to deliver the investment commitments within our existing contracts, which has been created by strong foundations - namely £70 million investment into leisure facilities over the last seven years.
"The company will continue to focus on strong operational delivery
through the Harpers brand of fitness, and the thriving SwimSchool,
which teaches over 40,000 children to swim each week.
Customer Service will remain top of the agenda for Leisure
Connection and we will remain providing a high quality of service
for customers within a public access environment."
Leisure Connection will continue to work with the best suppliers
within the fitness industry and will be looking to strengthen and
develop existing relationships with companies such as Technogym,
Zoggs, Crown and Lifetime - to name but a few.
