Leisure Connection, the leading public access sports and leisure operator has secured a five year contract extension with North Kesteven District Council. Leisure Connection currently manages the Council's ten leisure and sporting facilities and has been doing so successfully since 2003.
The contract with North Kesteven District Council is one of Leisure Connection's most diverse contracts. And in addition to the management of Council owned leisure centres, which include the North Kesteven Centre, Northgate Sports Hall and Sleaford Leisure Centre as well as the non-sporting facilities, which include The Hub: Centre for Craft and Design, The Whisby Natural World Centre and the Terry O'Toole community theatre. Along with these facilities Leisure Connection will also continue to deliver a number of community outreach services, which include: ExtremeNK, CountrysideNK, Arts NK, CountrysideNK and SportsNK.
Graham Farrant, Chief Executive of Leisure Connection said: "This contract extension is testament to the hard work and dedication of the team. Diverse contracts such as North Kesteven is an area in which Leisure Connection specialises in, it demonstrates our ability to deliver excellence in all areas of sports, leisure, health and well-being. We have an excellent working relationship with the client and we are delighted to be working in partnership with them for another five years. "
Mick Lock, Client Officer from North Kesteven District Council
said: "The partnership with Leisure Connection is the largest
and most significant of the council's leisure partnerships. A
genuine spirit of co-operation and goodwill appears to exist
between the organisations. The partners have worked hard on
developing a joint set of priorities and there is evidence that
Leisure Connection exceed their contractual commitments in order to
deliver a high quality service. There is a high level of
commitment and enthusiasm from both organisations."
This extension builds upon the recent success of the contract being
awarded TAES (Towards an Excellent Service). TAES is a model
that has been developed as a basis for self assessment, which looks
at the areas in which a service/contract is performing well and
areas that need to be improved upon.
