Leisure Connection has retained its Approved Training Centre status for the Royal Lifesaving Society (RLSS), with the standard being set by the Institute of Qualified Lifeguards (IQL) following an annual IQL audit of 20% of the Leisure Connection estate (eight centres).
Leisure Connection is one of the only multi-site operators to renew and retain Approved Training Centre status in 100% of its centres. Last year Leisure Connection offered 35 training courses and qualified over 300 lifeguards across the country.
Tricia Lewis, Group Health and Safety Manager said: “This is great news for our centres and indeed the industry. As an operator we are constantly training and maintaining the experience and expertise of our lifeguards and to retain our Approved Training Centre status is great news and supports our continual development.”
